What is Custard Town?
Custard Town is a safe, inclusive and interactive play space for children aged 0–6, located in the heart of Exeter city centre at Guildhall Shopping Centre. Designed to encourage imaginative play, sensory exploration and social connection, Custard Town features themed play areas, creative activities and a welcoming café space for families.
Where is Custard Town located?
You’ll find Custard Town on Level One at Guildhall Shopping Centre in Exeter city centre.
How do I access the venue?
- Lift access is available from outside Primark
- Buggy parking is available outside the venue
- The space is fully accessible for families with prams and there is wheelchair access, disabled toilets are located in the Guildhall.
What ages is Custard Town suitable for?
Custard Town is designed for children aged 0–6 years old.
Our dedicated SEN sessions are suitable for children up to school Year 2 (approximately age 7).
What are your opening hours?
Custard Town is open 7 days a week.
Session Times
- Morning Session: 9:30am – 11:30am
- Afternoon Session: 12:30pm – 2:30pm
SEN sessions will also be available.
When will bookings open?
Bookings will be going live mid June.

How do I book?
Bookings can be made online once our booking system goes live.
We’ll share links and updates on our Facebook and Instagram pages as soon as booking opens.
Can I just turn up?
Yes — walk-ins are welcome, subject to availability.
We recommend booking in advance during busy periods to avoid disappointment.
How much does it cost?
We work hard to keep Custard Town accessible and affordable for every family. Our simple, pay‑per‑visit pricing helps ensure everyone can come and play.

As a thank‑you for your donation, you’ll receive a complimentary barista coffee or hot drink during your visit.
By adding this £1 donation, your entire payment can be treated as a charitable donation, which helps support Custard Town’s work and allows us to claim Gift Aid (where eligible)—making your visit go even further for local families.

What is your cancellation policy?
All bookings are non-refundable.
We may be able to transfer your booking to another available session (subject to notice and availability) if given enough notice.
