Housebuilder donates presents to Exeter families struggling this Christmas

Linden Homes has donated presents to local charity, Exeter Community Initiatives, to distribute amongst the families and children it works with that are facing challenges and hardships this Christmas.

The housebuilder, which is building new homes locally at Tithe Barn and Sandrock, arranged a collection point and donated a selection of presents and everyday items including hats, socks, hair brushes, toiletries, colouring pens, chocolates, water bottles, toys and nappies.

Exeter Community Initiatives is a local charity that helps people to improve wellbeing and build skills, supports families facing challenges and hardships, and helps communities to thrive.

Daisy Binnie, Exeter Community Initiatives Family Resource manager, said:  “Thank you so much to Linden Homes and its generous staff and customers for donating these much needed items. The families we work with struggle not only at Christmas but throughout the year so I know these gifts will be gratefully received.”

Clare Acarnley, area sales manager at Linden Homes, commented: “Exeter Community Initiatives do a fantastic job and will now be organising the presents and items, matching them with individuals and distributing them to ensure everyone receives a gift. We’re pleased to support the initiative at what can be a very expensive and difficult time of year for people.”

Exeter Community Initiatives supported 165 families in 2023, including 465 children. For further information visit www.eci.org.uk
