Custard Town Birthday Party Terms & Conditions
1. Booking and Payment
1.1 Birthday party bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed once payment has been received in full.
1.2 The party package and price will be confirmed at the time of booking.
1.3 The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring that all guests and their accompanying adults are aware of these Terms & Conditions.
2. Party Packages
Custard Town offers two birthday party options:
Exclusive Venue Hire
- Exclusive use of the Custard Town play space and café area.
- Up to 54 guests in total.
- 30 minutes set-up time before the party and 30 minutes packing-away time afterwards.
- Access to the kitchen area.
- Jugs of squash or water and cups.
Open Play Party
- Entry for up to 10 children and 10 adults.
- Reserved seating in the café area.
- Access to the kitchen area for storing cake.
- Jugs of squash or water and cups.
- Other families will be using Custard Town during the session.
3. Guest Numbers
3.1 Exclusive Venue Hire is limited to a maximum of 54 guests in total, including children and adults.
3.2 Open Play Parties are limited to 10 children and 10 adults.
3.3 For safety reasons, maximum capacity limits cannot be exceeded.
3.4 Please contact the Custard Town team in advance if you need to discuss changes to your expected numbers. We cannot guarantee that additional guests can be accommodated.
4. Cancellation and Changes
4.1 Birthday party bookings are non-refundable once confirmed.
4.2 If you need to cancel or change your booking, please contact us as soon as possible.
4.3 We may, at our discretion and subject to availability, offer an alternative date or time. Transfers are not guaranteed.
4.4 If Custard Town has to cancel a party, we will offer an alternative date or a full refund.
5. Arrival and Set-Up
5.1 Please arrive at the agreed time shown on your booking confirmation.
5.2 For Exclusive Venue Hire, the 30-minute set-up period is included within the booking arrangement. The party must finish at the agreed time to allow for the 30-minute packing-away period.
5.3 For Open Play Parties, customers should arrive at the start of their booked session.
5.4 Please do not arrive early unless this has been agreed with the Custard Town team.
6. Food and Drink
6.1 Customers are welcome to bring their own food and drinks for birthday parties.
6.2 Custard Town is a nut-free venue. Please do not bring nuts or products containing nuts into the venue.
6.3 Customers are responsible for checking ingredients and allergens in any food they bring.
6.4 Food and drinks should be consumed in the designated café/seating area and not within the play spaces.
7. Birthday Cake
7.1 Birthday cakes may be brought into Custard Town.
7.2 For Open Play Parties, cake can be stored in the kitchen area during the session.
7.3 Customers are responsible for ensuring that cakes and other food brought into the venue are suitable for their guests.
8. Socks and Play Areas
8.1 Everyone entering the play areas must wear socks, including children and adults.
8.2 We understand that some children may be unable or unwilling to wear socks. If this is likely to be a problem, please contact us at [email protected] before your visit so that we can discuss reasonable arrangements.
8.3 Shoes must not be worn in the play areas.
9. Supervision and Safeguarding
9.1 Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
9.2 Custard Town staff are not responsible for supervising individual children.
9.3 Parents, carers and party organisers remain responsible for the children in their care throughout the party.
9.4 All visitors must follow Custard Town’s safeguarding, health and safety instructions.
10. Behaviour and Safety
10.1 We want Custard Town to be a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for everyone.
10.2 Visitors must follow reasonable instructions given by Custard Town staff.
10.3 We reserve the right to ask a guest to leave if their behaviour is unsafe, abusive, threatening or significantly disruptive to others.
10.4 No refund will be provided where a customer or guest is asked to leave because of serious or inappropriate behaviour.
11. Decorations and Party Equipment
11.1 Any decorations or party equipment brought into Custard Town must be agreed with the team in advance.
11.2 Decorations must not damage walls, furniture, play equipment or other parts of the venue.
11.3 Glitter, confetti, silly string and similar products are not permitted.
11.4 Balloons must be safely secured and removed at the end of the party.
12. Cleaning and Damage
12.1 Customers are expected to leave the café and party areas reasonably clean and tidy.
12.2 For Exclusive Venue Hire, the allocated 30-minute packing-away period must be used to remove personal belongings, decorations and food.
12.3 Customers may be responsible for the reasonable cost of repairing significant damage caused by themselves or their guests through deliberate or negligent behaviour.
13. Personal Belongings
Custard Town cannot accept responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged personal belongings brought into the venue.
14. Photography and Media
Customers may take photographs of their own party and guests, provided this does not interfere with other visitors or staff.
Please do not photograph or film other children or families without their permission.
15. Accessibility and Additional Needs
Custard Town is committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment.
If your child or any member of your party has additional needs or requires specific arrangements, please let us know before your visit wherever possible. We will do our best to make reasonable adjustments to support your visit.
16. Changes to Facilities or Sessions
Custard Town reserves the right to make reasonable changes to activities, facilities or arrangements where necessary for operational, safety or other legitimate reasons.
17. Liability
Custard Town will take reasonable steps to provide a safe environment for visitors. Customers remain responsible for supervising children and their personal belongings.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
18. Acceptance of Terms
By booking a birthday party at Custard Town, the person making the booking confirms that they have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions and agrees to ensure that guests attending the party follow the relevant requirements.
