True North is an innovative two-year pilot mentoring and diversionary activity project for young males aged 10-14, living in households with a history of domestic violence, in and around the city of Exeter.
Designed to improve outcomes for young people and families and work preventatively to reduce crime, the project is will be delivered in partnership with Stop Abuse for Everyone (SAFE).
The role of the volunteer will be to work 1-2-1 with mentees, supporting and encouraging them to manage their own circumstances so that they can maximise their potential, develop their life skills and become the best version of themselves.
The successful candidates will have the opportunity to complete a variety of extensive, and useful, training, including professional mentor training with one of the UK’s top mentoring experts, a former Welsh Rugby Union Elite Performance Manager.
