Trustees

ECI is looking for committed and enthusiastic people with skills in at least one of the following four areas:

Treasurer

Having completed 9 years in the role, our current Hon Treasurer, Richard Clack, is stepping down after the Annual Review Meeting in November later this year.

“My experience as Honorary Treasurer of ECI has been both enjoyable and rewarding.  It has been fulfilling and at times humbling to be part of an organisation that works with some of the most vulnerable people in society, helping them in moments of crisis and supporting them in getting their lives back on track.  The diversity of its work and innovative approach to delivering its charitable objectives is an integral part of ECI’s character and is what makes being a Trustee so stimulating.”

   Richard Clack – Honorary Treasurer.

The Hon Treasurer is an unpaid role but a vital one in ensuring the good financial governance of ECI.  The Hon. Treasurer is not expected to carry out day to day financial management activity, to draft financial policies, to produce reports or anything else that is “operational”.  The main focus of the role is to provide assurance to the trustees of the charity on all financial matters and to advise on the underlying financial position of ECI and appropriate action where necessary.

The key criteria for becoming Hon. Treasurer are willingness to become a trustee of ECI, a recognised financial qualification and experience of financial management.  To find out more about the role and how to apply, please contact James Pegg (Business Support Manager) james.pegg@eci.org.uk or for an informal chat regarding the role call Steven Chown (CEO) on 01392 205800. The Honorary Treasurer infor pack can be found at the bottom of this page.

The deadline for applications is 17/06/19 and short listed on 21/06/19. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview by the Chairs Group on 27/06/19.
