Since ECI was first founded in 1991 as the Palace Gate Project, it has created 25 new community projects, including 10 of which that are now operating as independent charities or community initiatives. These include:
- Harvest
- Community Hubs
- CARD Mentoring
- STEPs
- Planet Rainbow
- Ujima
- LINKS
- Exwick Neighbourhood Project
- Farm Hill & Kinnerton Way
- Homelessness Collaboration
There has been a wealth of data, research and learning that has come out of these projects. We have captured as much of it as possible here.
Former projects that have become independent are:
- St Sidwell’s Centre
- St Petrock’s Centre for homeless people
- Turntable Furniture recycling project – 01392 202032
- Megabite Food Voucher scheme
- Homemaker South West Ltd, which provides support to people to remain in their homes
- Exeter Homes Committee (Rent Deposit Guarantee Scheme) which later became Smart Move, a
project of Community Housing Aid (previously Exeter Homeless Action Group)
