LINKS

The LINKS Project was set up in 2000 as a joint initiative between a number of Exeter based organisations.  LINKS aimed to:

  • co-ordinate and integrate existing services in disadvantaged areas of Exeter;
  • pump prime small neighbourhood based projects in these areas;
  • promote understanding of social exclusion in Exeter and to improve the way professionals and organisations work with socially excluded people and communities.

Throughout its activities, the LINKS Project aimed to focus on evaluation, co-ordination, development and innovation.  The Project was co-ordinated by Andrew Forrest from 2000 to 2002 and by Wendy Allison from 2003 to 2004.   Dr Paul Burton of University of Bristol assisted with evaluation throughout the project.   A full report including his evaluation is available.
