ECI took the decision in May 2007 to cease developing the EATS project. Unfortunately, bids made for funding were not successful.
However, the Amber Foundation was successful in securing funding in the Autumn of 2007 to enable a number of partners in Devon to provide their Practical Housing Units. These accredited units cover a range of independent living skills, which help people to access and sustain accommodation.

About EATS
EATS (Exeter Accredited Tenants’ Scheme) was a partnership project offering a package of training courses and support to disadvantaged people to help them access and sustain accommodation.
ECI worked in partnership with the Meaningful Occupation Project (MOP) of Exeter Shillhay Community, to set up the EATS programme. ECI provided most of the development work, with MOP running the training courses. Six pilot courses were run in total. MOP continues to offer tenancy training courses as part of their programme.
