“My Neighbourhood” is an initiative led by Exeter City Council in partnership with Exeter Community Initiatives (ECI) and Exeter CVS.
“My Neighbourhood” is a community engagement project that aims to give more power to people at a neighbourhood level. Through this project local partnerships are being set up to tackle local issues. The partnerships have a small pot of money, this is to address local priorities through, for example, providing small grants to local community groups to improve local facilities. The partnerships will include: residents, ward councillors, the council and other providers of local services.
What areas of Exeter does it cover?
- Clyst Heath/Kings Heath
- Exwick
- Newtown/Polsloe
- St.David’s
Who is the project for?
All people living in the project areas who would like to have more say in the development and life of their neighbourhood and are prepared to work with others to achieve shared aims.
Why should I get involved?
The people who are the experts on the issues in a particular neighbourhood are the people who live there. Your views are needed to make a real difference to your community.
