I'm originally from Yorkshire, where I worked for several years in a community cafe in Bradford, aiming to improve local people's access to affordable, healthy food. I'm passionate about growing, cooking and sharing food and all the health and social rewards that brings.
Over the years I've grown food on windowsills, in back yards and on allotments, and have been lucky to benefit from the wisdom and expertise of other gardeners and cooks. I see this project as a great opportunity to tap into our community's collective experience, and to give people the chance to discover new skills and interests.

I've been involved in several community projects in Exeter over the last few years, including working at St Sidwell's Centre and for Flying Start Children's Centre. I've worked with volunteers in lots of different organisations, and really enjoy what happens when people get together to work towards a shared goal.
I'm also a very keen lifelong gardener and grower of fruit and veg. I love everything about growing food, from the joy of seeing seeds germinate, to picking the wonderful produce, to cooking it and of course eating it. I’m really pleased to be working for Harvest as it gives me the chance to bring together things that I’m passionate about and to work towards something that feels really worthwhile.
