Exeter Garden Match - Information for Garden Owners

By joining Garden Match, you will have the opportunity to:

• have part or all of your garden transformed into a cultivated, cared for productive space
• enjoy a share of the harvest fresh from your own garden
• help a neighbour to have a chance to grow food.

There are a few things to bear in mind when joining the scheme:

• growers agree to care for their allocated plot, but are not expected to undertake general garden maintenance, mowing lawns, trimming hedges etc
• you can specify the times and days that the grower may have access to the garden, so you can ensure that you have some privacy
• the grower will need access to a water source and somewhere secure to store tools and equipment (ideally without going through your house)
• you will have an agreement before the grower starts work, which will set out clearly what the expectations are for both you and the grower.

The Harvest Team will be available to offer any support you may need as the match goes on.

The information you give us will enable us to match you with a local grower.

We will put your details onto the Garden Match database. When we find a match for you we will arrange an introduction with your grower, both parties will sign a formal agreement, then the grower is free to start work.
