Flying Start Children's Centre works closely with local groups and agencies to ensure that a full range of support services are available to children aged 0-5 across St David's, St James, Newtown, St Leonards and Duryard.

Flying Start Children's Centre - Structure and Purpose

Flying Start is a 'virtual' children's centre. This means that, instead of one building in one location, we provide services across the whole area that we cover. You will find services supported or run by Flying Start in community buildings and open spaces in: St James, St David's, Newtown, St Leonard's and Duryard. We also offer home visits.

Our role is to identify community need, and supporting these groups already meeting these needs to continue. We also initiate the setting up of new services to meet unmet need. 

What does a 'Flying Start' in life mean? The Children's Centre aims for healthy, happy, safe children and families who are achieving, who are part of their community and financially secure. Families encounter all kinds of problems. Being a parent is challenging. We are here to support you and your family to overcome the problems you encounter.
