Family Support

 The Family Support Work Team provides support to children and families in thier homes and in the community in relation to a wide range of matters such as:

• Parenting Support

• Play

• Managing Behaviour

• Child Development

• Relationship Difficulties

• Housing, Benefits and Budgeting

• Isolation

• Adult Learning and Employment

• Antenatal and Post Natal Support 

   

       Families can be referred by a health visitor, group leader or any other professional. Families can also refer themselves by filling in a referral form, or call the centre to speak to one of the family support team for advice.

What Can You Expect?

Once a referral is recieved, the Family Support Work Manager will do one of the following:

• Allocate a Family Support Worker to your child
• Place your child's name on the waiting list for individual family support
• Suggest a group, course or alternative service if it is felt that it would better meet the need of your child and your family
