This is an exciting new post supporting the development of sustainable community buildings, principally in Exeter and other urban areas of Devon. You will also support the development of Community and Residents’ Associations in Exeter. You should have experience of supporting the organisational development of community groups and experience of community development at a local level.

FLYING START CHILDREN’S CENTRE
Community Development Worker (2 posts)
24 hours per week
£22,221 - £23,708 pro rata
plus 5% employer pension

Two positions have arisen within our Flying Start Children’s Centre Team. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with excellent interpersonal skills, who will proactively build relationships with parents, children, professionals and volunteers. Experience of working with community groups is essential and experience of work with families with young children is desirable. You will need experience of interagency working and a proven track record of delivering outcomes. You should be able to work as an effective team member as well
as being able to manage your own workload and work independently.

FLYING START CHILDREN’S CENTRE
Family Support Work Manager Maternity Cover
18 hours per week
£26,276 pro rata
plus 5% employer pension contribution
Closing date: 12 noon on 18th March Interview date: 31st March
This post is for a minimum of 6 months to cover maternity leave at a busy Centre, offering high quality support to families across central Exeter. You will supervise the family support team and deputise for the Centre Manager. Experience of managing complex cases, taking a lead in the Care Management process, and excellent interpersonal skills are required to ensure pro-active work with families and professionals. A relevant professional qualification is essential.

We are seeking someone who is:
• A qualified accountant or has a strong financial background
• A strategic thinker.
• Experienced in Charity or Business sector
• Keen to support their local community
• Able to offer approximately one day per month
